Recap of Eclipse & Open House

On April 8th, 2024 a near totality eclipse passed over Toronto. While the weather was overcast our school community was still able to enjoy the beginning of the eclipse as well as a fantastic open house!

We were joined by students and parents as well as many new faces coming to tour the school. Provided with eclipse goggles, refreshments, snacks, interactive activities, and goody bags it was an enjoyable time for all.

During the eclipse we were able to witness the moon passing over the sun feeling an increase in temperature while this occurred. And when the eclipse reached near totality, despite the overcast, we noticed a significant change in the sky’s colour reaching near night colour before quickly brightening once the sun reappeared.
